How often to you see one persistent tree in a landscape? Often, particularly in farming country, one lonely tree is left as a token gesture. Or there is one hardy specimen that has managed to grow in the most inhospitable spot. “Persistence” is also a reference to how one tree can make a stand and have great impact when isolated in the landscape. To me, its a sign of strength and staying power, even in a small whimpy looking tree! Also, because they are often exposed to persistent winds their form can be very beautiful and gestural.

“Persistence” is ready to hang. You could also add a floating frame to this painting using Bluethumb’s professional framing service.
