Acrylic paint, graphite and acrylic paint pens on 300 gsm acid free cartridge paper attached to a white cradled wooden panel and sealed with matt spray varnish. Ready to hang.
I love the quirkiness of the marks in Rockhole and the other paintings in this series. They began with excitement. I looked forward to experimenting further with some techniques I had recently started to use. There’s a combination of drawing with acrylic paint pens and graphite, spraying those with water and adding paint with brushes.

As I worked intuitively with the water, creating effects, it seemed the series was becoming more about water, both literally and subject-wise. Suddenly, I could see all sorts of water themed ideas within most of the images. These moments when things come together are what we all dream of! I hope you find these small paintings interesting and fun.

“Rockhole” is ready to hang. You could also add a floating frame to this painting using Bluethumb’s professional framing service.
