“On the Face of It” is a playful abstract interpretation of landscape with bright areas of turquoise. It began as random linear marks and as I painted a landscape emerged. My task was then to define that landscape in an abstract way. to give it texture, colour and interest. These types of paintings give you complete freedom to follow your intuition, wherever it may lead.
